When1 Jesus was asked about the most important commandment, He said , “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment” (Mark 12:30). And the second is, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”. There is none other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:31). Yes, Jesus made it clear but it is hard to obey it everyday. This are two most important commandments. one will be about loving the Lord with all our heart and the next one loving our neighbor as ourselves. He doesn’t say that it is good to know. He says that We MUST do this to really living our good life or experiencing the full and abundant life. “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalm 16:11). By loving him with all our heart, We get Joy which is there regardless of our current Conditions.
Love God with All our Heart
To love God with our heart means to love God with our emotions. Praising him not only when things are going well but also when an answer to our prayer delayed. ALL your heart means at ALL times. Even when God seems quiet. And even when he says no. Continuing to love God even when bad things happen is key to a life of contentment. You just have to see through that bad circumstance to the God who is able to change anything. He is in control in all our circumstances. We learn more and more how to do it and be content no matter what. I can go through in any trouble. The secret of living in every situation is remembering that I can do everything and I can even overcome—through Christ who gives me strength (Philippians 4:11-13)
Love God with All our Soul
To love God with our soul is that you were created by a Creator. When you let yourself be still and quiet, something inside of you just knows that there is a God who cares for you
Yes, you have a hole within you that can only be satisfied by Him only. But then you have to pass that knowing and believe that God not only exists but he loves you enough to send his only Son to die and free you from your sins. Your soul takes you much farther than your heart can; it takes you to a relationship with the living Lord and heavenly thinking if you search Him sincerely
Love God with All our Mind
After trusting in God with your all heart, then do not depend on your own understanding is a key to obedience (Proverbs 3:5). It is possible to know and believe in the truth of the Bible but filled by wrong belief is dictating your life. You may even know that you should change but long power to do that. I’m not good and unworthy feeling is also a challenge. When I depend on my own efforts I will not submitting to Holy Spirit and I know his thoughts by reading the Bible daily. Then with study and repetition, some of his thoughts go in to my brain and takeout those old lies. Bible teachings are good, and perfect it renew mind. Philippians 4:8 has all good thoughts so replace lies with thoughts that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely. I can pray and ask God to put protection around my mind and thoughts.
Love God with All our Strength
Then I go on to see my actions. Do they show a love for God? For if I read God’s Word and don’t obey it, it does no good. If I only put Gods words into my brain without action, it’s just doesn’t help no transformation of my character but by faith with help of the Holy Spirit changes happen and God likes it when I’m led by faith to act.
Worship isn’t just singing. It is living by faith so that other people see my faith in action. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship (Romans 12:1). It is doing things that are right even when no one looking. It’s speaking up against injustices. Be kind to those who are emotionally and physically hurt. As a Christian doing the right things without expecting reward should be our attitude.
Pleasing God should should come first. A lot of times we do see some kind of reward for our actions of faith, but not always. Not all promises are meant to be fulfilled now; some will be fulfilled much later, in more perfect way. God is just he rewards the just and condemns the sinner.
Loving God with all my strength means stepping out in faith, stepping out from comfort zone, stepping out to help someone. Faith and works always go together. But faith with works can change ones world for the better. Remember that we don’t walk any of this out by ourselves . We have a strength working within us that enables us to keep on going forward. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me (Galatians 2:20).
All your strength’ means with all our energy, with every possibility of our gift. Seek it daily and you will receive what your heart desire we love because he first loved us.
